The Nutrition Clinic has been founded to provide dietary counselling in a safe, comfortable and peaceful environment.
Rachel is an evidence based Dietitian and one of the only health care professionals qualified and insured to diagnose, assess and treat nutritional problems. She uses dietary counselling to prevent and treat physical and psychological disease as well as improve performance in both amateur and professional athletes.
Rachel does not believe in a “one size fits all” nutrition plan, because everyone has individual goals and needs; therefore one of the fundamental process’ in dietary counselling is taking a step by step approach to ensure changes are achievable and maintainable long term. She does not demonise any foods and believes that the best diet for an individual, is one they can stick to long term; which includes enjoying foods and not feeling restricted.
Rachel works with nutrition in a functional way, looking at how food can improve the overall health of the body, rather than simply treating the symptoms of a condition. She will use nutritional psychology and motivational techniques to improve self esteem, increase adherence and identify triggers to negative health behaviours and replace these with new, healthy ones.
Rachel believes that nutrition is part of overall wellness, therefore guidance on lifestyle, physical activity and behaviour change will also be provided.
