When it comes to food, I believe that we all have very personalised needs and there is no such thing as a “one size fits all diet”.

I will teach you how to eat, rather than simply give you a plan of what to eat. I will empower you to find trust in yourself and your body, to create lifelong positive habits.

With over seven years in further education studying nutrition and its impact on the human body and mind; as well as being one of the only qualified health professionals that can assess, diagnose and treat dietary and nutritional problems at an individual and wider public health level I ground my coaching in evidence based research as well as my decade of experience within the industry. If you are not sure what the difference is between a dietitian and other nutrition professionals, please click here.

I work with a wide range of individuals to improve their nutrition and relationship with food, however have special interests in;

  • Disordered eating inclusive of diagnosed eating disorders - bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, compulsive over eating [please note Food Freedom Therapy may be more appropriate if you suffer with any form of disordered eating].

  • Restoration of menstruation and nutrition to support fertility and IVF

  • Compassionate weight management

The initial nutrition consultation is via zoom [in person sessions are available if required]  and 75-90 minutes in length. This allows us to start to develop the therapeutic relationship and to really understand the journey you have been on so far, including reviewing your current dietary intake and eating behaviours that are causing you distress. We will then create a formulation which allows us to see what the maintaining mechanisms of any unhealthy or distressing behaviours are and put an gentle action plan in place moving forwards, which may include flexible dietary guidelines if this is appropriate as well as coping tools and practices, self inquiry prompts and reading lists. We will then take into consideration your current circumstances and how best to work together moving forwards to best meet your needs.

Follow up consultations are 50 minutes and include a progress review, psycho nutrition education, self monitoring analysis, nutrition counselling and setting a new gentle action plan.
